President
Ron Williams a retired Army Major, is the President and CEO of Unified Consultants Group Incorporated (UCG) of Fayetteville, Georgia. Ron joined with other colleagues in February 1999 to form UCG. The venture went stagnant for a couple of years until he and Johnny Asbury, a retired Army Lt. Colonel, restructured the firm and attempt to put new life into what had become a lethargic small business.
Ron, with basically no company past performance, started knocking on the doors of federal contractors marketing the qualifications of UCG. His efforts generated some success however; the success rate significantly improved once the company obtained certification in the SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program in February of 2002. Today, Unified Consultants Group provides logistics and program management support as well as other services such as antiterrorism/force protection support, physical security support, information technology support, library support, and finance and budget support to numerous government agencies using various ID/IQ contract, GSA Schedules, and other contract vehicles.
In the Army, Ron was heavily involved with logistics as an Ordnance Officer in the tank and automotive field as well as program management, operation research, and evaluation of new Army equipment in the arena of training, field artillery and tactical missile systems.
Ron grew up in Newport News, Virginia, where he attended public schools. He is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He later received a Masters Degree in Economics at Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA.
Ron and his wife, Deanna, have four children. He remains active with his church, alumni affairs at North Carolina A&T where he received his officer’s commission through the college ROTC program, and other non-profit and charity organizations.
